Arrive by Boat
We run a continuous service by electric launch from Wroxham Bridge directly to the railway, look out for the signs by the Wroxham Bridge.
You can also moor up at the bottom of the garden if you are already on the river (limited space). Purchase your Admission and train tickets from the ticket office at the station.
Arrive by Road
We are easy to find, about 7 miles from Norwich off the A1151. Go over the main line railway bridge, then take the 3rd turning right into The Avenue, take the second left into Staitheway Road finally turn right into Hartwell Road, at the end of the road you will find BHR. Once parked you can purchase your admission ticket from the Museum Attendant or walk down the garden to the ticket office where you can purchase your admission and all train tickets.
There is a bus service from Norwich to The Avenue cross roads. Phone the Traveline on 0870 608 2 608.
Arrive by Train
National Express East Anglia provide a good Sunday service from Norwich and Sheringham (THE BITTERN LINE). It is only a short walk from the station to Wroxham Bridge for the Boat Service to the BHR. Please phone National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950 for train times to Hoveton & Wroxham Station. From the Bure Valley Railway (01263 733858), walk to Wroxham Bridge to get the boat service to BHR.
