Evening Running

The railway operates just like our normal Sunday afternoon running, including our boat service from Wroxham Bridge. The difference? It's all done in the dark illuminated by original Station Lamps and plenty of candles. Torches are frowned upon! Come and try it and see how close we come to re-creating a "bygone age".

There will be a B-B-Q, plus tombola and other stalls of interest.

Private Events

The railway is also available for private events and functions such as birthday parties and group outings, by arrangement and at a special rate for Friends of the BHR.

Santa Special

12noon till 3pm, Sunday 16th December 2012.

A fun afternoon for all the family to see Father Christmas on his Sleigh Train inside the railway Grotto, with the choice of a first class festive lunch.

Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere while visiting Santa by train in his Railway Grotto.

All Santa ticket holders get to ride on the train to see Santa; children receive a named gift from Santa while adults receive a Christmas treat. Adults also receive a complementary glass of wine or orange juice.

Go First Class and enjoy a Turkey Christmas Lunch followed by hot Christmas Pudding in our festive restaurant.

Adults and children pay the same price for our Santa Specials. For First Class Passengers there is a reduction for children 10 years and under.

Advance booking is essential for a visit to Santa, but the BHR will also be open for normal admissions (without visit to Santa's Grotto), with the museum and signalbox open and rides on the Steam Train available during the afternoon at normal ticket prices.

The electric Boat service will be operating as usual (pick up point by Wroxham Bridge).
